On Thursday April 7th the best of Berlin’s hardware & IoT startup scene gathered at betahaus. Seven finalists pitched on stage and showed off their prototypes. The jury composed of Franka Birke, Joerg Rheinboldt, Bastian Bergmann, an angel investor Thomas Madsen-Mygdal, Karsten Lemm, Saeed Amidi, and Gregor Gross listened carefully and asked tough questions. All moderated by one of our members Adrian; a writer, strategist and rapper from Sydney with at least a handful of witty jokes.
Who won the prizes?
Timular, who’s producing smart polygon that all freelancers instantly fell in love with, won the TOA ticket sponsored by Seed for Tech. Horse Analytics is winning the 100h of IT development by Seed for Tech. YOUMO, power cords of the future win the stay in TechCode and voucher for 3k in engineering services from alpha-board. The surprise prize from Saeed, a stay in Plug n Play Accelerator and 5k cash to cover travel expenses, goes to velo easy, the smart city solution for everybody who love their bike.
And who’s the final big winner?
All this would not be possible without the support of our old and new partners and friends. Big thanks goes to our two global sponsors Kloeckner and Siemens. Kudos to all our local partners for who provided the awesome prizes for startups.
See you all in Berlin for the grand finale at the Investors Day in October!
