    Thingthing is highly dedicated at creating a whole new messaging experience on iOS: Their keyboard gives you instant access to all your digital things, while chatting and emailing on iOS.

    Besocial turns the cost of supplying public WiFi hotspots into an investment towards increasing social visibility and customer knowledge and ad base monetization.

    Dubble is a platform that lets you mix your photos with anyone in the world, randomly creating often stunning and serendipitious images.

  • Mark Ruiz

    Mark RuizOPTretina

    Mark is our very own and awesome betapitch | global 2013 finalist coming from Barcelona. He is the founder and CEO of OPTRetina – the idea he pitched at betahaus. He established the first network of Ophthalmologists for the prevention of blindness. As an expert in business strategy and mobile devices, he is the founder of SIT Mobile – the market leader in corporate marketing messaging and SMS services. He works as a strategy mentor and external consultant.

  • Dan Hoffman

    Dan HoffmanHoffman Industries

    Dan loves growing companies and is fascinated about technology. In the 90ies he founded and actually failed with a venture-backed roll-up in Asia. After that he founded and grew M5 Networks which has been providing cloud-based business phone solutions. As the CEO and President oft he company he was significantly involved in building the Cloud Communications industry which he then sold to ShoreTel. Dan lives in Barcelona and currently works on recent innovations to improve workforce development.

    Aldo de Jong helps corporations and startups to navigate disruptive change. He is a partner of Startupbootcamp IoT & Data and a co-founder at Claro Partners where he provides business innovation and service design in the context of disruptive changes in society and business, such as the personal data economy, internet of things (IoT), new models of ownership and value exchange networks.

  • Joshua Mac Perish

    Joshua Mac PerishCrowdCube

    Joshua is COO of Crowdcube España, an equity crowd-funding program. He previously worked at the crowd-funding platform Kiva in Kenya, where he managed a project portfolio of social impact in the south-east part of Africa. Joshua studied Anthropological Science at Stanford University and in Buenos Aires, he owns a certificate from the Summer Institute for General Management at Stanford Graduate School and did his Master of Arts in Latin America Studies at Stanford University as well.

    Hans is a senior associate at Claro Partners, an innovation consultancy that specializes in helping startups and large corporations alike navigate disruptive shifts. He leverages his background in media & management as a business strategist, having worked as a marketing manager for a financial-services firm in Manila and as a journalist for TIME, Fast Company and The Atlantic in New York, Hong Kong, and Washington, D.C. In addition to many years of work experience, he earned his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University in Chicago and his MBA from IESE Business School in Barcelona.

    Tomás Pandopaez

    Tomas is Co-founder and CEO at PAEZ. Besides that he is a Board Member at AIVO, an innovative company developing automated software solutions to change the way companies and people communicate. As an active mentor for young entrepreneurs he worked at @EmprendingUBA, an experimental entrepreneurship class at Buenos Aires University. Since 2012, he operates as an Angel Investor. Tomas has run several programs at Stanford Business School and Harvard Business School.

  • Leandro Martínez-Zurita

    Leandro Martínez-ZuritaMartinez-Zurita Abogados

    Leandro Martínez-Zurita studied Law at Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona in 2000 and a Master in Corporate Finance at ESADE . He began his legal activity in Hamburg in 2000 and later in Sydney to settle in Barcelona in 2004. He speaks Spanish, Catalan, French, English and German. Among other start-ups and R&D firms Leandro has been advising the following firms: betahaus, archbeacon, mytaxi, fundacionimo hansalia, eyefocus and spheraglobal.

    After becoming the youngest-ever executive at VW Group, Walter started his own successful group of companies through MBI’s and mergers with some of the world’s largest industry players. Currently, Walter is a private investor. He spends most of his time coaching and sparring with CEO’s, and sits on the board of several multinationals in Germany, Holland and Spain. Walter is known as a business visionary, money maker, and first-class people connector in the areas of finance & insurance, TV production, IT startups, international trade, and European politics.
